I am an artist creating bespoke pet and animal portraits, based in the Cotswolds. I specialise in watercolour painting, but also like to use gouache and pencil. Most of my pet and animal portraits are done using watercolours and aim to create a good likeness of the animal being painted. I have a variety of dog and cat portraits in my gallery but I am also interested in painting other pets so if your pet is not a dog or a cat I would still be interested in painting or drawing them for you!
Working in watercolours means I can use a variety of techniques to create the image of your pet, I currently work in a very lifelike style capturing the detail in your pets fur and facial features. I have built up good skills in watercolour and continue to improve with every portrait I paint. It is a medium I really enjoy using and exploring. If you want anymore information about pet and animal portraits just get in contact or have a look at the other pages on my site. I also post blogs about pet portraits occasionally, where you can find information on the painting process and tips for things like photographing your pet.
I am available to commission for pet and animal portraits and can post work (unframed) internationally. Just get in touch with any questions you have, I’m happy to answer them.
“I have just received a portrait of our dog Ted from Sarah, and she has captured the likeness perfectly. The eyes look like they are real and are about to blink!! So, if anyone is interested in getting a portrait done I can highly recommend Sarah.” – Scott, Cheltenham
“I also received my portrait from Sarah. She was very helpful as I had no idea what I wanted. Great portrait, very talented artist. And she even got to meet Dexter when she dropped the painting off.” – Jez, Cheltenham
“Always amazing, a stunning portrait of my beautiful dog Tanya.” – Cathy, Cheltenham
